Mount Pleasant and Adams Morgan

Mount Pleasant is a diverse and eclectic neighborhood. It was once a streetcar suburb and is now a mix of housing types with a main street of its own. It has great access to downtown and is right in between Adams Morgan and Columbia Heights, two very developed areas, but it has retained a quieter residential character. The neighborhood’s rich historical connection to DC has made it a diverse, cultured, and community-driven neighborhood. Having its own main street, beautiful historic row-houses and apartment buildings, tree-lined streets, and park, many residents describe it as having a small-town feel.

 

Adams Morgan provides a neighborhood with an abundance of natural charm. Many newcomers are being attracted to this well-established area, drawn by the wide selection of affordable housing and the spirit of revitalization that is changing the face of the cityscape. Many of the townhomes dating back to the 19th century are being carefully restored in keeping with their original character and individuality. The area is well known for its wonderful cafes and restaurants that feature international cuisine.
